The General Assembly is the maximum organ of the Institution and shall be integrated by the founding members, and in temporary or definitive absence by the beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
The functions of the General Assembly are:<\/p>\n
Establish the general policies and development strategies of the Institution.
\nChoose four (4) representatives among its members or its delegates to be part of the Superior Council.
\nReform and approve the bylaws of the Institution.
\nTo protect and take responsibility for the institution to remain within the philosophical principles that inspire its creation.
\nApprove the annual budget of income and expenses of the Institution, ensuring that it complies with the law and the bylaws.
\nMonitor that the resources of the Institution are used correctly.
\nDecree the dissolution and regulate the liquidation of the Institution in case it is necessary, according to the current statutes and to the legal norms that regulate this situation.
\nEnsure that the progress of the Institution is in accordance with the legal provisions and its own statutes.
\nChoose the Rector according to the statutory rules.
\nChoose Statutory Auditor with its respective substitute.
\nApprove the financial statements.
\nApprove the development plans of the Institution for its adoption.
\nDecide on acquisition, transfer or sale of assets of the Institution.
\nAll others that owned, according to the Institution’s bylaws.<\/p>\n
The Higher Council is the highest administrative body of the Institution.<\/p>\n
It is integrated by:<\/p>\n
Four (4) representatives of the founding members or beneficiaries, one (1) representative of the benefactor members; the latter chosen among those who have this quality.
\nBy the Rector who will act with voice and without vote.
\nBy a Representative of the professors.
\nBy a Student Representative.
\nBy a representative of the graduates.
\nBy a representative of the business sector.
\nWill act as the Secretary General of the institution.<\/p>\n
The functions of the Higher Council are:<\/p>\n
Issue its own regulation.
\nChoose its own president.
\nDictate the regulations for the correct application of the Institution’s statutes in the academic, administrative and financial order.
\nDirect the academic and administrative policy of the Institution and establish the norms that ensure its good management.
\nAccept or reject aid, inheritances, donations, legacies, etc., in accordance with the policies of the General Assembly.
\nAuthorize the Rector to celebrate all agreements or contracts with governments or Colombian or foreign entities.
\nEstablish the administrative organization of the Institution by creating or eliminating the positions that are necessary in accordance with the general statutes and the competence given by the General Assembly.
\nApprove, suspend or modify the plans of education, training or advanced or postgraduate advanced training, research, extension and advice in accordance with legal standards, after studying and recommendation of the Academic Council or ad-hoc committees appointed for that purpose by the same Higher Council.
\nAuthorize the Rector to contract and make investments in the amount deemed necessary for the smooth running of the Institution.
\nPrepare and present to the General Assembly projects to reform the bylaws that are considered necessary for the efficient running of the Institution.
\nReview the budget prepared by the Rector and his administrative team to be presented to the General Assembly.
\nTo elect the representatives and delegates of the Institution before the national and international organisms that consider advisable as proposals of the Rector.
\nTo comply with the mandates of the General Assembly.
\nAct as court of last resort; exercise functions that are not expressly assigned to the General Assembly and other bodies.
\nRegulate the requirements for the issuance of the titles that the Institution grants in accordance with the regulations in force on the matter.
\nGrant honorary titles to persons that the Rector or any of the members bring to their consideration.
\nGrant temporary licenses to the Rector.
\nIssue the student and faculty regulations, taking into account the proposals presented by the Academic Council, which shall be held in at least 2 sessions.
\nRegulate and determine the policies to be developed in the area of \u200b\u200bUniversity Welfare.
\nPrepare the financial statements that will be presented to the Assembly for approval.
\nPrepare the development plans that will be presented to the assembly for approval.
\nAll the others that are assigned by the statutes or the law.<\/p>\n
The Academic Council is the highest academic authority of the Institution.
\nIt is integrated by:<\/p>\n
Rector, who presides over it.
\nAcademic vice-rector, who will be in charge of the secretariat.
\nAdministrative vice-rector.
\nHead of planning and systems office.
\nDeans of the faculties.
\nHead office of admissions, registration and academic control.
\nDirector of advanced training center.
\nRepresentative of the students.
\nRepresentative of the graduates.
\nRepresentative of the teachers.
\nThe functions of the Academic Council are:<\/p>\n
Conceptualize before the Superior Council about the creation, modification or suppression of academic units.
\nReview and adopt the teaching programs according to the legal norms.
\nDefine the policies and adopt the research programs that the Institution must develop.
\nConceptualize in relation to the academic regulations and those of the teaching and student staff.
\nResolve the queries made by the Rector.
\nThe other functions assigned by the Law and the General Statute.<\/p>\n
The Faculty Council is made up of:<\/p>\n
Dean of the faculty, who presides over it.
\nProgram directors.
\nRepresentative of the professors
\nRepresentative of the graduates.
\nRepresentative of the students.
\nIt is a basic function of the Faculty Council:<\/p>\n
Functions:<\/p>\n
Give support and advice to the respective faculties in the matters that correspond to it, as provided in the statutes and regulations, aiming to achieving the objectives, mission, vision and institutional policies.
\nPropose to the Academic Council the modifications to the study plan, the distribution and layout of areas and the order in which the subjects must be taken.
\nPermanently evaluate the micro curriculum and formulate the pertinent recommendations.
\nResolve the academic problems that arise in the Faculty, not being its study and solution the competence of other university authorities.
\nParticipate in the study and approval of research plans, advice and extension of agreements or contracts.
