Professor Jorge Albeiro Jim\u00e9nez Hern\u00e1ndez, studied Philosophy and Theology at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, in the city of Medell\u00edn, is a psychologist from the University of Antioquia and completed his Master’s studies in Clinical Psychology at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla. He has worked for the last decade as a teacher and researcher at the University of Antioquia and the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation. His interest has been in clinical psychology, specifically in the area of \u200b\u200bcouple relationships and in everything concerning the subject of love as an expression of a vital need of human beings. In addition, she worked with the Mar\u00eda Cano Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit in the creation and strengthening of her company AMARTE to address the relationship problems of couples and families, from different professional aspects, seeking to support the entire community in the generation of well-being through healthy and consistent relationships.<\/p>\n
Now he presents his book Why don’t our relationships work? It is a book written with the intention of providing readers with a scientific and deep understanding of the dynamics that emerge within couple relationships and that, due to their ignorance, condemn relationships to an unnecessary end that not only generates suffering in the lovers, but also make the wonderful experience of loving and being loved traumatic.<\/p>\n
As a result of his concern for the subject of love, he has dedicated himself to training, in recent years, future professionals in psychology and the social and human sciences interested in the subject of professional accompaniment to couples, through give Seminars of Couple Psychotherapy, based on Relational Therapies. With the same students, he has managed to create a study group on the subject that is sustained, after 6 years of having started, and as a result of this experience a psychotherapeutic proposal of Comprehensive Attention to the Couple and the Family has emerged under the name of AMARTE, a company dedicated to accompanying couples and families in understanding and solving the main conflicts in their relationships.<\/p>\n
