Led by the University Extension and Social Projection Network – RUEP, the Regional Meeting of University Extension was held on Thursday, August 28, in the virtual modality that, on this occasion, the topic revolved around the necessary articulated relationship between the University , the State, Companies and Society. The meeting featured top-level speakers such as the Rector of Unilasallista, Pedro Juan Gonz\u00e1lez; the Manager of the Institute for the Development of Antioquia, Juli\u00e1n Santiago V\u00e1squez; the Executive Director of the Antioquia Federation of NGOs, Carlos Andr\u00e9s Monsalve; the Executive Director of the Corporaci\u00f3n Empresarial Pro Aburr\u00e1 Norte, Luz Yaneth Giraldo; and the Technical Secretariat of CUEE Urab\u00e1, Liliana Marcela Palencia.<\/p>\n
The event had a closing panel in which some of those responsible for Extension and Social Projection of the Higher Education Institutions of the Antioquia region established their position regarding the central theme. On behalf of Mar\u00eda Cano, the Vice-Rector of Extension and Social Projection, Carlos Julio Escobar Nore\u00f1a participated, who was accompanied at the same table with the representatives of the Luis Amig\u00f3 Catholic University, the CES University, the University of Medell\u00edn and Uniremington.<\/p>\n
The University Network of Extension and Social Projection – RUEP, is an organism that brings together heads, directors and vice-rectors of Extension and Social Projection of the Institutions of Higher Education of Antioquia, who represent the department before in the line of university extension of the Association Colombiana de Universidades \u2013ASCUN, with the objective of generating strategies and programs, from higher education, that respond to the needs of the region, the department and the country, in the search for the professional qualification of those who lead the organizations; as well as activities that generate community well-being.<\/p>\n
