{"id":10976,"date":"2022-06-08T18:27:06","date_gmt":"2022-06-08T18:27:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fumc.edu.co\/en\/?p=10976"},"modified":"2022-06-08T18:27:06","modified_gmt":"2022-06-08T18:27:06","slug":"impact-investigations-for-maria-cano-at-the-popayan-headquarters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fumc.edu.co\/en\/impact-investigations-for-maria-cano-at-the-popayan-headquarters\/","title":{"rendered":"Impact investigations for Mar\u00eda Cano at the Popay\u00e1n headquarters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Institutional fieldwork begins in the city of Popay\u00e1n with the project \u00abEvaluation of the Impact of Undergraduate Training on Graduates of the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation\u00bb, which is led by the researcher Ricardo Le\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez Arenas of the SUMAR Research group, of the Faculty of Business Sciences, and the co-investigators Humberto Serna G\u00f3mez, Ana Mar\u00eda P\u00e9rez Naranjo, Eudis Eugenia L\u00f3pez G\u00f3mez, Sorleida Granda Casas and Jairo Hern\u00e1n Meneses Ordo\u00f1ez who is the head of the Graduates Office. Within the framework of this project, different activities are contemplated that are vital for the development and application: academic event, in-depth interview with the employer sector and with the different focus groups with graduates of the Institution.<\/p>\n<p>The results of this important study are used by the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation for decision-making on curriculum issues, study plans and offers of continuing education programs, among other alternatives. The main purpose of the research is to evaluate the impact on training of the institution&#8217;s graduates and thereby increasingly align the training process of students with the needs of the employer sector.<\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of the visit to the city of Popay\u00e1n, Professor Ricardo Le\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez Arenas and Professor Elizabeth Rold\u00e1n Gonz\u00e1lez, attached to the Mar\u00eda Cano FISIOTER Research Group, met with Mr. Dub\u00e1n Ely Quintero Mu\u00f1oz, who is the Leader of the Public Health Surveillance Process of the Departmental Secretary of Health of Cauca; with which the research Analysis of the Behavior of covid-19 in the department of Cauca was developed, between the groups FISIOTER, SUMAR and researchers from the International University of La Rioja &#8211; UNIR. This research is focused on an epidemiological analysis of the pandemic for indigenous communities and pregnant women in the department.<\/p>\n<p>This institutional research, with international participation, will produce organizational innovation products for the municipalities of Popay\u00e1n, Santander de Quilichao, Silvia and Piendam\u00f3 in the department of Cauca, as well as an article published in a leading indexed journal.
