During the day, the students carried out activities to accompany the inhabitants on issues related to healthy eating and healthy lifestyles, specifically with the elderly of the \u00c1lvaro Uribe V\u00e9lez neighborhood, which was a settlement since 2004, was legally recognized by the administration municipal in the month of October 2021 and has about 2,000 inhabitants and an approximate number of 500 homes.<\/p>\n<p>With the realization of this work of social projection, Mar\u00eda Cano seeks to promote changes in lifestyle, habits and customs that favor the community, so that the appearance of diseases and disabilities that can be prevented and avoided. these can lead to their evolution; guarantee comprehensive, staggered, timely and effective care for this group; accompany the rehabilitation of older adults and stimulate community participation in the identification and search for solutions to the problems of older adults who are a fundamental part of society.<\/p>\n<p>The day allowed the realization of talks and recreational activities on healthy eating; At the same time, different physical activities were generated that were led by the Physiotherapy program students, accompanied by the teacher Deisy Yulieth Silva and the support of the ESE Carmen Emilia Ospina.
