Professor Fernando Delprado Aguirre, from the Speech Pathology program at the Medell\u00edn campus, participated as a representative of the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation in the II international seminar on the professional practice of speech therapy 2022-2023 organized by the Catholic University of Valencia \u2013 Spain. The professor shared in his webinar particular aspects of the practice of speech therapy in Colombia, addressing social, labor and sociological aspects of the profession in the country. Students from the organizing institution and speakers from Spain, France and Italy participated in the academic activity who, in turn, shared aspects of the profession in their respective countries. In this way, Mar\u00eda Cano promotes spaces for the exchange of knowledge and ideas from an intercultural perspective, with the aim of training students with a glocal projection. Speech therapy is the treatment and correction of disorders that affect the voice, pronunciation and oral and written language, through re-education techniques.<\/p>\n
