At the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, Popay\u00e1n headquarters, the first circle of professionalization of the year 2023 was opened, an academic space that promotes updating and learning from different areas of interaction of the Physiotherapist program to students, practice advisors, graduates and community at large. On this occasion, the activity had the participation of the referents in disability attached to the government of Cauca; Johana Andrea Legarda Ortega and Violeta Noguera Insuasty, who addressed the topic \u00abProcedure for certification of disability and registration of location and characterization of people with disabilities.\u00bb<\/p>\n

The activity carried out makes it possible to articulate the processes of teaching and social projection with government institutions that contribute to the care and maintenance of the health of vulnerable population groups. Throughout the activity, the role of the physiotherapist in the formation of multidisciplinary teams that determine disability from the identification of deficiencies in body functions and structures, limitations in activity and restriction in participation was highlighted.<\/p>\n
