Within the framework of the internationalization policy of Mar\u00eda Cano and its academic programs, the mirror class was held with students from the eighth-semester Speech Therapy program of the University of Malaga in Spain and students from the Speech Therapy program of the Foundation Mar\u00eda Cano University of the Neiva campus from the first to the fifth semester, an activity led by the coordination of the program by the director Mercy Cecilia Torres and the professor Piedad Roc\u00edo Lerma Casta\u00f1o, who is doing her international internship at the international institution.<\/p>\n

The psychologist Mariana Natal\u00ed Loredo Garc\u00eda, master’s degree in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, specialist in clinical neuropsychology and doctoral student in psychology, participated; Also present was Mar\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez Moreno Speech therapist, interim substitute professor in the department of evolutionary and educational psychology, coordinator of the early attention subject of the IV course speech therapy degree and doctoral student in psychology from the University of Malaga. During the mirror class, the presentation called: \u00abEarly identification of evolutionary dyslexia and its comorbidity with dyscalculia\u00bb was socialized, where students were allowed to learn about some of the common diagnoses addressed from speech therapy and learn about the tests applied within the processes. research.<\/p>\n

In the academic activity, it was possible to learn about the methodology and way of working that is taught in the Leeduca research group, which is led by Dr. Juan Luis Luque, Dr. Almudena Gim\u00e9nez and the doctoral candidate Auxiliadora S\u00e1nchez. The project brings together a significant number of researchers and research and education professionals with the aim of generating a transfer of scientific knowledge to educational practice and, in turn, consolidating a neuroscience and education laboratory within the province of Malaga in Spain. With these spaces for international interaction, it is intended to strengthen the alliances between the two institutions to strengthen scientific knowledge between the different countries.<\/p>\n
