Twenty-two students and two teachers from the physiotherapy program at the Popay\u00e1n campus lived the Neiva – Tatacoa Desert Academic Mobility experience between April 20 and 22, where they had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation with the objective of recognizing practice scenarios, sharing theoretical-practical knowledge in the sports area and developing the workshop called \u00abEvaluation of physical capacities in the Tatacoa desert\u00bb work that is framed in the classroom project of the sports subject led by teachers and physiotherapists Wladimir Mosquera P\u00e9rez and Carolina Cajas Santacruz.<\/p>\n

At the same time, this academic mission allowed to know, first hand, the formative and cultural processes in distant regional contexts and different from those of the department of Cauca, achieving an objective look at a critical social framework behind the entire formative process, thus leaving in evidence the program’s commitment to comprehensive training and permanent growth in professional excellence.<\/p>\n

The Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation works in a committed and serious way to generate mobility experiences, face-to-face and virtual, which allows the members of the university community to be aware of the improvement of the profession, to know the advances to put them at the service of the inhabitants of the country and respond to the growing needs of the population in the different regions of the country to have professionals, increasingly prepared according to the demands of a globalized world.<\/p>\n
