Students and professors of the Software Engineering program at Mar\u00eda Cano, Medell\u00edn campus, attended the 19th Latin American Festival of Free Software Installation – FLISoL – the largest event in this area in Latin America and is aimed at all types of audiences: students, academics, businessmen, workers, public officials, enthusiasts and even people who do not have much knowledge in computer matters.<\/p>\n

During the conference held on April 22, topics related to the installation of free software, technology trends, the importance of information systems security, as well as the relevance of cybersecurity were discussed.<\/p>\n

Regarding this activity, Silvia Marcela Henao Villa, director of the Software Engineering program, maintains that \u00abThis type of academic event allows students to participate in cultural and research activities, learn about trends in software development and the software industry in general. ICT, having the opportunity to meet, socialize and share with communities related to free software\u00bb.<\/p>\n

The Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, with its university community present in the main regional, national and international academic activities, which contribute to strengthening the skills of future professionals.<\/p>\n
