As a result of a research project developed by the Fundaci\u00f3n Universitaria Mar\u00eda Cano, in collaboration with the Fundaci\u00f3n Universitaria Internacional de la Rioja, the Lead Researcher at the Popay\u00e1n campus, member of the Research Group Importance of Movement in Human Development \u2013 Fisioter, MSc , Elizabeth Rold\u00e1n Gonz\u00e1lez and PhD professors and researchers Yuber Liliana Rodr\u00edguez Rojas and Diana Milena Carvajal Montealegre, members of the Strategy, Creativity and Innovation Research Group, published the article entitled: \u00abCovid-19 in the indigenous population of Cauca: visibility of the structural vulnerability as a challenge for health management\u201d, in the latest issue of Signos Magazine, Research in Management Systems.<\/p>\n

The article presents the behavior of covid-19 and how it is related to structural determinants, such as socioeconomic status and affiliation to the security system, with the presence and evolution of the disease. For this, an analysis of the cases reported to the National Public Health Surveillance System of the indigenous population of Cauca – Colombia was made, determining the frequency of presentation of the disease and a possible definition of risk of mortality (OR).<\/p>\n

Signos Research in Management Systems Magazine, categorized in C by Publindex, is a publication resulting from the agreement between Icontec and the Engineering Division of the Santo Tom\u00e1s University, whose purpose is to disseminate the reflections, discussion and results of research on issues related to quality and its management, the various standardized management models and social responsibility, as well as experiences related to the applicability, innovation, relevance of theories, models and management systems, in private and public organizations.<\/p>\n

The journal is found in the following bibliographic indices: EBSCO, Latindex, Latindex, Directory of research journals indexing, Base, Miar, EZ3, Fuente Acad\u00e9mica Plus.<\/p>\n
