After a very rigorous academic work, the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation officially presented the information of the Specialization in Sports Physiotherapy, a program of great relevance at a local, national and international level. The Institution is sure that future specialists in this important area will have a great impact on the performance and quality of life of the athletes who intervene, taking into account the multidimensionality of the sports approach, without a doubt the specialist in sports physiotherapy, It will be the cornerstone of individual and team intervention to promote optimal sports performance, with the least possible risk of injury.<\/p>\n

The academic event was in charge of recognized authorities in the sports area such as Dr. Felipe Marino Isaza, a doctor and specialist in physical activity and sports medicine; as well as the physiotherapist Jonathan Adri\u00e1n Mu\u00f1oz Luna who is also a specialist in physical activity for health and a master’s degree in sport and physical activity.<\/p>\n

The attendees enjoyed an academic space in which highly relevant topics were addressed, such as the sports rehabilitation process and its intervention, as well as the challenges and news of sports physiotherapy. It is important to highlight that this postgraduate program seeks expert physiotherapists in a specific field, with the capacity to offer efficient and quality alternatives, allowing them in the different processes the possibility of designing, evaluating, implementing, promoting and disseminating prevention programs to reduce the appearance of of sports injuries, establish a cine-anthropometric evaluation of the sports gesture through the use of new technologies in sports, proposing and carrying out a treatment for the special dysfunctions of athletes aimed at reducing the high incidence of injuries that are generated in them, with ability to facilitate sports rehabilitation processes, through new trends in sports rehabilitation; forging participatory actions that lead our graduates to make decisions for changes and create new opportunities in the current context.<\/p>\n
