On October 23 and 24, Mar\u00eda Cano, in all its headquarters, experienced the great internationalization event at home called: Connection to the World: United States; a meeting organized by the International Relations Office with the support of Institutional Welfare and its Sports and Culture coordination, to promote the diversity of this country, so representative in the international system, through the recognition of its cultural, material and symbolic wealth. This new version of the event confirms the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation as an international and intercultural academic scenario that promotes the consolidation of a university community with glocal projection.<\/p>\n

During the event, various activities were carried out, both academic and cultural, in which members of the university community and allies from the external sector were linked. The Institution had the participation of various prominent speakers on topics associated with health, business sciences and engineering. Also, there was the valuable connection of strategic allies such as the United States Embassy in Colombia and the United States Department of State through its Education USA office, Tennessee State University, the renowned company SoftServe, Red Ciber, among others. . Attendees also had the opportunity to learn about study opportunities, scholarships, cultural exchanges, research, gastronomic, artistic and sports exhibitions related to the United States.<\/p>\n

Attendees recognized that the activities developed during the event have been very enriching and full of new learning of an intercultural nature, allowing them to visualize themselves at an international level. Connection to the World is an institutional event that takes place every year, with free participation and open to the public; with the purpose that the university community learns about the identities, advances and perspectives in different countries, through a wide variety of activities. In this way, Mar\u00eda Cano demonstrates its commitment to the training of professionals with a glocal vision.<\/p>\n
