We started this semester with very good news from our professors at the Popay\u00e1n campus. The Institution congratulates Professor Guillermo Adri\u00e1n Rivera Cardona, professor of morphophysiology at the Popay\u00e1n campus, who was unanimously chosen among more than 50 morphologists from different universities. public and private organizations in the country as president of the Colombian Association of Morphology for the year 2024, he will have the challenge of developing and leading the XVI Colombian Congress of Morphology and the III Latin American Forum of Biomedical Sciences, which is planned for the month of August, where Mar\u00eda Cano will be the organizer of the event, which will feature the participation of some students as speakers in oral and poster formats.<\/p>\n
For the academic activity, the attendance of approximately 800 professionals and students from Colombia, Spain, Mexico, El Salvador, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, among others from the South American region is projected. Likewise, Professor Rivera was appointed as Colombia’s representative before the IFAA (International Federation of Associations of Anatomists) and will participate in the debates that will be held in South Korea on behalf of the country.<\/p>\n
Professor Guillermo Adri\u00e1n Rivera Cardona has recognized professional experience at the National Sports School, the Universidad del Valle, the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Cali, the Universidad Libre de Colombia, the Universidad del Cauca, the Popay\u00e1n University Foundation, the School of Salud del Cauca, the San Vicente de Paul Hospital, Belalc\u00e1zar and the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation.<\/p>\n
With this work, it is expected to generate a positive academic and scientific impact on the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, with the promulgation and dissemination of activities and experiences generated inside and outside the classroom, by teachers and students of the various academic programs.<\/p>\n
