With articulated work between the management and academic team of the Neiva headquarters, led by the coordinator Diana Mar\u00eda Salazar Rojas and the professors Viviana Caicedo Delgado, Mercy Cecilia Torres and Gladys Tamayo Perdomo, approaches with the external sector have begun, to make available the academic and service offering of the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation in this important region of the country. To this end, several meetings have been held with the mayor of the city of Neiva, engineer Germ\u00e1n Casagua Bonilla, as well as some secretaries and social managers of the department of Huila, in order to contribute from the portfolio of institutional services to the development of the government plans for the period 2024-2027.<\/p>\n

A meeting was led with the continuing training area of \u200b\u200bthe National Learning Service – Sena, for the offer of the speech therapy program and other related courses, which allow the visibility of the program and new training opportunities for students of this entity. Likewise, strengthen the existing cooperation between the two institutions.<\/p>\n

The Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation also generated a strategic approach with the mayor of the municipality of Yaguar\u00e1 through the social manager Claudia Fernanda Torrejano and her work team, in order to deliver the institution’s portfolio of services to support social programs Township.<\/p>\n

In a meeting with the secretariat of women, childhood and adolescence and social development of the capital of Huila, a space for coordination was created with the municipal government to develop actions in favor of women, children and young people, through the academic programs of Mar\u00eda Cano, the activity was led by the leading secretary of the area, Dr. Clara Eugenia Pe\u00f1a and her work team.<\/p>\n

Recognizing the importance of working with institutional allies, an approach was made with the social manager of the municipality of \u00cdquira Huila, physiotherapist Iveth Lorena Posso Rodr\u00edguez, in order to establish a possible cooperation agreement between this municipality and the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, to strengthen the social component of this important population of the department.<\/p>\n

Finally, with the important involvement of Mar\u00eda Cano in the Board of Directors and in the teaching, research, social projection and well-being tables of the Network of Universities of Huila, the agreement of wills was signed between the mayor of Neiva and the Network. with higher education institutions in the city, which seeks to strengthen initiatives aimed at the socio-economic progress of the town and the quality of life of its inhabitants, which proposes to identify and articulate projects and programs focused on education, research, entrepreneurship, culture, sports , environment, health and social development.<\/p>\n
