As demonstrated by Wilmer Arley Criollo L\u00f3pez, a graduate of the Physiotherapy program at the Cali campus in 2007. He began his professional journey in the clinical field, specifically in the musculoskeletal area, initially working in various rehabilitation centers.<\/p>\n

His interest in cardiovascular and pulmonary physiotherapy led him to train in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Hospital Universitario del Valle, where he worked for 4 years primarily in the Intensive and Intermediate Care Units. He later joined the team at the Hospital San Juan de Dios in the SIRAD ICU, consolidating his experience in managing critically ill patients.<\/p>\n

Driven by his passion for cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, he completed a specialization in this area in 2013. In 2015, he joined Cl\u00ednica Miocardio, which focuses on treating patients with cardiovascular diseases, where his work as a physiotherapist allowed him to gain solid experience in physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and cardiac rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

Since his student days, he has shown great interest in teaching, aiming to integrate his professional career with education. In 2017, he began a Master’s in Education to acquire tools that would strengthen his work in this field. That same year, he became a professor of theory and practice in the Physiotherapy program at Fundaci\u00f3n Universitaria Mar\u00eda Cano in Cali.<\/p>\n

His goal as a healthcare professional is to continue perfecting his training in cardiopulmonary physiotherapy and education, as well as to expand his knowledge in artificial intelligence applied to physiotherapy and technology in general.<\/p>\n

The training he received at Fundaci\u00f3n Universitaria Mar\u00eda Cano not only provided him with the technical and scientific knowledge necessary for his discipline but also played a key role in developing a comprehensive vision of it. This institution offered him the tools to understand the importance of a human-centered approach, principles he has applied in both his clinical practice and teaching role.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Mar\u00eda Cano sparked his interest in research and innovation, driving him to constantly seek continuous improvement and stay updated on technological and methodological advances in physiotherapy.
