The Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation at the Popay\u00e1n headquarters, headed by the rector Hugo Alberto Valencia and the coordinator of the headquarters, Ang\u00e9lica Mar\u00eda Zuluaga, met with the Departmental Secretary of Health of Cauca, Carolina Camargo Restrepo, as well as with managers and representatives of the most important health institutions of the ESE Popay\u00e1n department, and representatives ESE Centro 1, Hospital Susana L\u00f3pez de Valencia \u2013 ESE, Hospital Mam\u00e1 Dominga \u2013 Resguardo Guambia, municipality of Silvia Cauca, Cl\u00ednica La Estancia and Hospital Universitario San Jos\u00e9 de Popay\u00e1n. The above, in order to explore training needs in the health sector and particularly the training of nurses based on the conditions and particularities of the region.<\/p>\n

Likewise, it seeks to strengthen relationships for the development of said programs within the framework of teaching-service agreements. On the part of the rector, an invitation was made to participate in an articulated way, in the development of the territories, where higher education institutions become important allies of the health sector, recognizing the importance of this type of communication between the academy and the productive sector, understanding the needs and responding to them from comprehensive training that allows society to welcome professionals trained to respond to the changing needs of social contexts thanks to advances in medicine and technology. #M\u00e1sMar\u00edaCano<\/p>\n
