Within the framework of the teaching-service agreement with the San Jos\u00e9 University Hospital, the Fundaci\u00f3n Universitaria Mar\u00eda Cano, Popay\u00e1n campus, developed the course \u00abInclusive Communication: Tools for the Care of People with Hearing Disabilities,\u00bb an initiative aimed at strengthening health care with a focus on equity and inclusion.<\/p>\n


This course arose in response to the need to ensure effective communication between health professionals and people with hearing disabilities, promoting accessible environments and more humanized care. During the training, participants acquired both theoretical and practical tools to improve interaction with this population, contributing to the removal of barriers in the provision of health services. The implementation of strategies like this reflects Mar\u00eda Cano’s commitment to inclusive education and the training of professionals with social sensitivity. Furthermore, it strengthens the coordination with health institutions like the San Jos\u00e9 University Hospital, fostering the exchange of knowledge and the application of good practices for the benefit of the community.
