In a heartfelt ceremony reflecting the deep social commitment and solidarity that characterize the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, the institution awarded a 100% scholarship for the Specialization in Sports Psychology to National Police officer Cristian Danilo Gonz\u00e1lez Colorado. The officer was the victim of an attack perpetrated by illegal armed groups in the municipality of Salgar, located in the southwest of the Antioquia department.<\/p>\n

The official award of the scholarship was presided over by the university’s rector, Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, who was accompanied by General William Casta\u00f1o Ramos, commander of the Metropolitan Police of the Aburr\u00e1 Valley, and Vice-Rector Paola Rueda L\u00f3pez. The event, filled with emotion and patriotic spirit, became a space to highlight the values of resilience, perseverance, and commitment to Colombia.<\/p>\n

Cristian Danilo Gonz\u00e1lez represents an inspiring life story: a young public servant who, despite adversity, rises with determination to continue his professional training and contribute through knowledge to the psychological well-being of others. This scholarship, more than just academic support, symbolizes Mar\u00eda Cano\u2019s trust in social reconstruction through the transformative power of education.<\/p>\n

\u00abThe Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation not only trains professionals; it forms human beings committed to society. This initiative is part of the many actions the institution leads as part of its commitment to social outreach, understood as the ability to make a positive impact on the environment by extending knowledge beyond the classroom and responding ethically and compassionately to the needs of Colombian society.<\/p>\n

The granting of this scholarship not only acknowledges Officer Gonz\u00e1lez Colorado\u2019s sacrifice but also highlights the active role that higher education must assume in generating opportunities, promoting inclusion, and building peace.<\/p>\n
