{"id":14443,"date":"2025-08-20T13:42:49","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T13:42:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fumc.edu.co\/en\/?p=14443"},"modified":"2025-08-20T13:42:49","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T13:42:49","slug":"countdown-to-science-in-the-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fumc.edu.co\/en\/countdown-to-science-in-the-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Countdown to \u201cScience in the Park\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"96\" data-end=\"378\">In preparation for \u201cScience in the Park,\u201d representatives from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the department of Cauca gathered at the Departmental Secretariat of Education in downtown Popay\u00e1n to advance the organization of this important scientific and cultural initiative.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"380\" data-end=\"781\">The meeting saw active participation from the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, Popay\u00e1n campus, as well as other universities that are part of the Cauca Research Network (La Mesa de Investigaci\u00f3n del Cauca) and ASIES Cauca. Delegates from the Cauca Governor\u2019s Office and the Secretariat of Education were also present, reaffirming the institutional commitment to strengthening knowledge in the region.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"1058\">During the meeting, key topics were discussed regarding the execution of the event, which will take place on September 24, 25, and 26. The session served as a space to coordinate efforts, share ideas, and define strategies to ensure a meaningful experience for all attendees.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1060\" data-end=\"1371\">\u201cScience in the Park\u201d aims to bring science, technology, and innovation closer to the community through playful, interactive, and educational activities. It is especially geared toward children, youth, teachers, and research groups, promoting interest in science from an inclusive and participatory perspective.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1630\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">It is important to note that the call for project submissions will remain open until August 22.
