The Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, Neiva campus, played a significant role in the Occupational Health and Safety Congress for Rural Areas, organized by the Huila Sectional Committee on Occupational Health and Safety, of which the Neiva campus is an active member.<\/p>\n

The event highlighted the participation of students from the Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology programs, who contributed with their training and social vocation in a space aimed at strengthening labor conditions in rural environments.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Neiva campus had the honor of presenting a lecture by Professor Viviana Caicedo, based on the research titled \u201cMusculoskeletal Disorders Associated with Body Composition and Ergonomic Risk Among Coffee Pickers.\u201d<\/em> This study, conducted in various municipalities of the Huila department, underscores the high rates of musculoskeletal disorders among coffee pickers and the ergonomic risks they face, such as load handling, prolonged postures, and repetitive movements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
