The Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, Neiva campus, in coordination with the GAULA unit of the National Army, carried out a comprehensive prevention and awareness day aimed at the academic community, with the purpose of strengthening the safety and well-being of students, faculty members, and staff.<\/p>\n

The main objective of this initiative was to bring security institutions closer to the civilian population by providing strategic tools to help identify, prevent, and report crimes that threaten personal freedom, particularly kidnapping and extortion. During the event, GAULA specialists shared key guidance focused on three main areas of action:<\/p>\n

Early prevention:<\/strong> The importance of anticipating risks and protecting personal and family information was emphasized. Participants received practical recommendations to avoid becoming victims of extortion or fraud.<\/p>\n

Response channels:<\/strong> Official communication channels and action protocols were presented so that individuals know how to promptly contact authorities in cases of threats or risk situations.<\/p>\n

Institutional support:<\/strong> The event helped strengthen trust between the community and security institutions, highlighting that citizens have the permanent support of the National Army and its specialized units.<\/p>\n

Under the premise that security is a collective responsibility, the activity also emphasized the importance of citizen reporting as a fundamental tool to combat these crimes. GAULA reiterated its commitment to providing guidance, support, and preventive actions that help prevent more people from becoming victims of these criminal activities, while promoting a culture of legality and freedom in the department of Huila.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
