This system evaluates academic impact using standardized bibliometric indicators, considering not only the number of citations received but also the prestige and influence of the sources generating them.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the Research and Innovation in Health Sciences Journal (RIICS) reached position 63 out of 118 journals worldwide in the Health Professions category (miscellaneous\/general), placing in the third quartile (Q3) and just four positions away from entering the second quartile (Q2), which groups the highest-impact journals in the field.<\/p>\n<p>This result reflects a highly competitive performance and a sustained progression toward higher levels of international visibility and impact. Its significance is even greater considering that RIICS is a relatively young journal, indexed in Scopus since 2022, competing with long-established publications and consolidated scientific communities.<\/p>\n<p>The journal\u2019s growth has been consistent and measurable. Over the past two years, RIICS advanced from position 75 to 63 globally, demonstrating continuous improvement in impact and visibility indicators.<\/p>\n<p>At the Latin American level, the journal has moved from third to second place, consolidating its position as one of the leading publications in the region. Nationally, the achievement is even more remarkable, reaching first place in Colombia in the Health Professions field.<\/p>\n<p>This upward trend across global, regional, and national levels confirms the strength of its editorial process and its increasing competitiveness within the scientific ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>These achievements reinforce RIICS\u2019s role in enhancing the visibility of Fundaci\u00f3n Universitaria Mar\u00eda Cano in international academic contexts, contributing to institutional internationalization, knowledge generation and dissemination, and engagement with the scientific community.<\/p>\n<p>This milestone is the result of the commitment and quality of the editorial team, whose leadership has been essential in consolidating the journal\u2019s growth, rigor, and recognition, significantly contributing to institutional prestige and the strengthening of research culture.<\/p>\n<p>#M\u00e1sMar\u00edaCano<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The SCImago Journal &amp; Country Rank (SJR) has released its latest global ranking of scientific journals, based on data from Scopus.
