Although scientific advances have improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies, significant challenges remain in the early detection of disease and the implementation of more precise and timely therapeutic interventions.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the most promising tools for transforming cardiovascular care. Through its ability to analyze large volumes of data and identify complex patterns, these technologies are expanding opportunities for diagnosis, risk prediction, and clinical decision-making support.<\/p>\n<p>To better understand the scope of these innovations, the Research and Innovation in Health Sciences Journal (RIICS) presents an analysis of the latest advances in the application of artificial intelligence for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, as well as the main challenges associated with its implementation in healthcare systems.<\/p>\n<p>The available evidence indicates that AI-based models can achieve high levels of accuracy in detecting cardiac abnormalities, estimating cardiovascular risk, and identifying patients who may benefit from early interventions. In some clinical settings, these tools have demonstrated performance comparable to, and even exceeding, that of conventional assessment methods currently in use.<\/p>\n<p>The findings also highlight the potential of artificial intelligence to support more personalized healthcare, enable faster diagnoses, and optimize the use of healthcare resources.
