As part of this commitment, Campus Director <strong data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"628\">Diana Mar\u00eda Salazar<\/strong>, together with researchers <strong data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"677\">Diana Montealegre<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"682\" data-end=\"709\">Edna Paola Ramos Garz\u00f3n<\/strong>, participated in the development of the scientific article <em data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"902\">\u201cEffects of Physical Exercise Using an LED Light Electronic Device versus HIIT Training on Body Composition in University Students\u201d<\/em>, a study that explores new strategies to promote healthy lifestyles among university students.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1613\">The research involved 60 university students from the city of Neiva and sought to compare the effects of two exercise modalities on body composition. To achieve this, the researchers implemented a 16-week experimental intervention in which participants were assigned to one of two groups. One group trained using an electronic LED light device with interactive visual stimuli, while the other followed a High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) protocol. Throughout the study, variables such as body weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, and muscle mass were assessed using bioelectrical impedance analysis.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"2058\">The results showed significant improvements in body composition in both groups, confirming the positive impact of regular physical activity on student health. However, participants who trained using the LED-based technology achieved greater reductions in body fat percentage, more substantial increases in lean muscle mass, and higher adherence to the exercise program. They also reported a more positive perception of the training experience.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2060\" data-end=\"2399\">These findings position interactive visual stimulation technologies as an innovative alternative for encouraging physical activity among university students, opening new opportunities for the development of health promotion strategies that are more engaging, effective, and aligned with the interests and lifestyles of younger generations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2401\" data-end=\"2819\">This research reflects Fundaci\u00f3n Universitaria Mar\u00eda Cano\u2019s commitment to generating high-impact scientific knowledge, fostering innovation in health-related interventions, and continuously seeking solutions that contribute to community well-being.
