The event was organized by the University of Cauca and the development of the activities was in charge of the teaching staff of the Spanish University Rey Juan Carlos and the Autonomous University of Manizales, with the participation of members of the Inter-University committee for Disability. Juli\u00e1n David Cer\u00f3n Bedoya attended on behalf of the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, branch Cali.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop began with the presentation of the process of construction of the institutional policy of inclusion by Unicauca, Implementation of the Unit of Care to people with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs (NEE) carried out by the University Rey Juan Carlos and the Curricular Flexibility Workshop developed by the Autonomous University of Manizales, based on their individual experiences of students with disabilities, following the guidelines made by the Ministry of National Education: Universal design of learning, Design of products, settings, programs and services that can be used by all people without the need for specific adaptation of design; all issues to provide quality care to ensure inclusive education.<\/p>\n<p>As a general conclusion, the importance of the rate of inclusion in higher education as a parameter for future institutional accreditation of high quality is highlighted, posing the following challenges:<\/p>\n<p>Inclusive academic processes<\/p>\n<p>Inclusive education Teachers<\/p>\n<p>Promote spaces for research, innovation, artistic and cultural creation<\/p>\n<p>To build an administrative and financial structure that supports inclusive education actions.<\/p>\n<p>Maria Cano grows and qualifies her collaborators to respond assertively to the needs of the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mar\u00eda Cano University participated in the activity held in the city of Popay\u00e1n on the importance of curricular flexibility in order to generate a more inclusive academic background that responds to the needs of the community.
