Within the Framework of the XILX Ordinary General Assembly of the Colombian Association of Higher Education Institutions with Professional Technical, Technological or University Training – ACIET, the new Board of Directors and Regional Vice Presidencies responsible for the orientation of the Association during the 2021 period were elected – 2023. In this sense, nine (9) main members and nine (9) alternate members were elected who, added to the election of Regional Vice Presidencies and ratification of honorary members, start a new period of union development. In the General Assembly session, the election of President and National Vice President of the Association was simultaneously ratified, as follows:<\/p>\n

National President: Dr. Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, Rector of the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation of the city of Medell\u00edn.<\/p>\n

Dr. Valencia Porras is a Professional Statistician from the University of Medell\u00edn, a Marketing Specialist, a Specialist in Economics and International Business, a Master in Business Administration from EAFIT and a Master in Marketing Management from the Vi\u00f1a del Mar University (Chile). He has more than 33 years of professional experience, 25 of them dedicated to Higher Education. Since May 2016, he has been the Rector of the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation, an institution with a presence in different regions of Colombia. He is an Academic Peer of the Ministry of National Education since 2005 and professor of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different Higher Education Institutions since 1996. In the business sector he was Statistician and Information Systems Analyst in the area of \u200b\u200bProduction and Exports of EXPOCARIBE SA Grupo UNIBAN and Administrative Director of Comercializadora Internacional BANACOL S.A. Apartad\u00f3 headquarters.<\/p>\n

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Colombian Association of Higher Education Institutions with Professional, Technological or University Technical Training – ACIET and regional Vice President of the same Association; member of the Board of Directors of ASIESDA and FODESEP.<\/p>\n

National Vice President: Dra. Sandra Patricia Valencia Zuluaga, Rector of the Professional Drawing Academy Foundation – FADP of the city of Cali.<\/p>\n

Dr. Valencia Zuluaga has a degree in Biology and Chemistry from the Santiago de Cali University, Specialist in Training of Trainers in Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Buenos Aires, Specialist in Teaching for Higher Education from the Santiago de Cali University, Master in Business Administration of the Universidad del Valle. He has extensive experience in the areas of educational sciences, biology, economics and business. She has served as Rector of Basic and Technical Medium Education Institutions, as Director of Research in Higher Education and currently as Rector of the Professional Drawing Academy Foundation – FADP.<\/p>\n

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Colombian Association of Higher Education Institutions with Professional Technical, Technological or University Training – ACIET and Vice President of the South Pacific Regional of the same Association; She has participated as Coordinator of the South Pacific Research Table of ACIET, a space in which she continues to contribute to the promotion and strengthening of Research in the region.<\/p>\n
