The Council for Culture and the Arts of Nuevo Le\u00f3n through the Adolfo Prieto School, in conjunction with allied institutions, invited cultural and creative companies from Mexico and Colombia to participate in the 2021 issue of the Diploma in Economic Administration for the Arts and creativity, which will take place from July to December 2021 virtually. The second edition of the Diploma is carried out taking as a framework that this 2021 has been declared the International Year of the Creative Economy for sustainable development by the United Nations Organization.<\/p>\n

The announcement of the implementation of this program was made this May 6 through a press conference in which Luis Escalante, director of the Adolfo Prieto School of CONARTE; Aurora Esquivel, Director of Training and Certification of the Ministry of Economy and Labor of Nuevo Le\u00f3n; Juan Manuel Adame Rodr\u00edguez, Director of Training and Professional Development of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Le\u00f3n; Carlos Julio Escobar Nore\u00f1a, Vice-Rector of Extension and Social Projection of the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation and Santiago Murillo, of International Cooperation of the Metropolitan Area of \u200b\u200bthe Aburr\u00e1 Valley, Medell\u00edn, Colombia.<\/p>\n

The Diploma in Economic Administration for the Arts and Creativity is organized by the Council for Culture and the Arts of Nuevo Le\u00f3n through the Adolfo Prieto School and in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Labor of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, the Autonomous University of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, the Mar\u00eda Cano University Foundation and the Metropolitan Area of \u200b\u200bthe Aburr\u00e1 Valley of Medell\u00edn Colombia. The general objective of the Diploma is to strengthen the professionalization of creative and cultural companies in Mexico and Colombia by offering tools that allow them to develop skills in business models, administration and communication to improve their competitive performance in the immediate future, framed by the post-COVID-19 crisis.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very happy, because despite the contingencies and cuts that the cultural sector has suffered in all parts of the world and in Mexico, particularly, and thanks to the determined support of the CONARTE presidency, we have managed to keep this project going for the second consecutive year. , because it is considered special and important, so that the community that is now suffering and has its projects on hold due to the health contingency, take the opportunity to invest in their training, \u00absaid Luis Escalante, director of the Adolfo Prieto School of CONARTE . \u00abMaybe now the stage productions, dance theater, music are stopped, so it is a good time for them to take advantage and train with this Diploma. \u00abRegistrations are now open and the invitation is for the cultural, creative and artistic companies of Mexico and Colombia to participate\u00bb, he said, \u00abfor companies we consider any cultural and creative enterprise that is registering, with at least two years seniority in the Treasury, both as individuals or legal entities \u201d.<\/p>\n

When talking about a company, the cultural official clarified, it regularly refers to legal entities, but in the creative and cultural sector, it is known that most are registered as natural persons, so you can enter the Diploma if you are registered as a natural person, legal entity or as a civil association. It is important to point out, he mentioned, that the Diploma is not aimed at people who want to do a project, but for people who already have a project, who already have a business, a cultural and creative company. \u00abAnd the range is very wide, because it can be a dance school, a theater company, a dance group, a musical band, in short, it is for all those who work in the cultural and creative sector,\u00bb he said. Even, he added, people from industrial design, fashion design, video game design, or digital art can come, the spectrum is wide, as long as it is related to culture and creativity.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs last year in the Diploma, we will have highly recognized teachers from both Mexico and Colombia, such as Master Jos\u00e9 Antonio McGregor, a prominent social anthropologist, who has held important positions in the management and administration of culture in the country, and Master Andr\u00e9s Flores, from Colombia, an expert in financial strategy issues, among others, \u201dEscalante explained. This year, he pointed out, there is a new figure called allies of the call, which are organizations that will support the dissemination of the call, and in the event that a company in their town were to be selected for the Diploma, they will grant it a scholarship. . These are the Municipal Institute of Culture and Art of Hermosillo Sonora and the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture of Durango.
