The María Cano University Foundation continues to work for the community located in the different regions of the country, in which the Institution is present with its undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education programs. On this occasion, we worked with the group of children Los Potros from the 3 Entre Ríos commune in the city of Neiva, capital of the department of Huila, area of ​​influence of the #MásMaría Cano headquarters. From the areas of social projection and institutional well-being, a health brigade was developed whose main objective was to sensitize the inhabitants of the area to the importance of practicing healthy lifestyles, developing activities related to oral language screening. to determine the development of language, mental health – emotion management, growth and development screening identifying the weight and height of children, activities directed to potentiate the fundamental patterns of movement and motor skills.

During the presence of the members of María Cano in the sector, the donation of school kits was made that will allow the children to carry out future activities when they enter academic activities in the different educational centers of the city; Likewise, awareness was raised about the importance of exercise, respect for others, food care and good relations with neighbors and friends to have healthy social relationships that contribute to good style in community living.

It is important to highlight the constant commitment of students, teachers, researchers, collaborators and graduates of María Cano in the city of Neiva to know the needs of the community in the different areas of the capital of Huila, to arrive with training proposals, care and accompaniment that ratify the work that is led from a social projection to be close to national, regional and local realities.
