Committed to the vulnerable populations of the capital of Huila, the María Cano University Foundation accompanied the program «Support House for Street Inhabitants», attached to the Secretary of Social Development and Inclusion of the Mayor’s Office of Neiva. Where educational activities are carried out and led with the «Habits and healthy lifestyles, for healthy eating» program, directed by students of internship semesters, and the participation of the Speech Therapy program with the theme of communication and care of the voice In addition, it was possible to carry out aerobic activities, delivery of personal hygiene items and food. All the work carried out was a donation made by the university community that is sensitive to the well-being of the most vulnerable population.

María Cano, through her social projection work, sensitizes students so that they are not only excellent professionals, but also worry about putting their knowledge at the service of society, generating actions that allow them to share with those who are going through difficult times. and they require the support of those around them.
