The María Cano University Foundation was one of the special guests in the city of Bogotá at the event called: «I Meeting of Experiences in Rehabilitation» organized by the United States Agency for International Development USAID Colombia, the International Organization for Migration IOM Colombia , the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and Ascofi Colombia. The objective of this event was the presentation of the successful results of the projects that we had in execution financed with money from International Cooperation for the municipalities of Necoclí and Amalfi of the department of Antioquia, the objective of these projects was to carry out the characterization and analysis of the health rehabilitation needs of each municipality.

It is very important to mention that, at the country level, only institutions with projects that were successfully executed both technically and economically were invited; These institutions were the National University, the Simón Bolívar University, the Sinú University, the Rosario University, the Antonio José de Sucre University Corporation, the North Regional Hospital and the María Cano University Foundation.

The coordinators of each project, Iván Eusebio Bustos Zapata and John Steven Hurtado Sánchez, who are also teachers of the Physiotherapy program, participated in this meeting; The Coordinator of Strategic Projects, Sandra Milena García Molina, attended on behalf of the Vice President for Outreach and Social Projection of María Cano, who led a work table related to the projections of rehabilitation in Colombia for the municipalities with the fewest resources in the country.

At the María Cano University Foundation we continue to consolidate ourselves as a benchmark for the execution of projects that involve the community and its needs, allowing us to be an ally for public entities when making budgetary decisions on where to direct resources.
