More welfare and social responsibility for the community #MásMaríaCano

The María Cano University Foundation advances actions of commitment to the well-being of the university community with the signing of an agreement for the implementation of the policy of inclusion and university social responsibility with the Responsible Antioquia Corporation. The Institution continues to expand the scope for the implementation, strengthening and pertinent promotion of the institutional inclusion policy, for which it received the visit of the entity, Paola Andrea Orrego, with whom the signing of an inter-institutional cooperation agreement aimed at promoting actions was advanced. academic teaching, research and extension and social projection associated with educational and labor inclusion in the region.
This alliance makes it possible to generate knowledge, spaces and actions for the construction of inclusive societies, favoring the mitigation of cultural and physical barriers to inclusion, therefore, it seeks a broad understanding of the processes associated with inclusion, focusing reflection on the agency of subjects and disability in the difficulties of spaces and social devices to provide equitable conditions for the experience of rights.
As a first activity, as a result of this agreement, from the Faculty of Business Sciences, which has the Business Administration and Public Accounting programs in face-to-face and virtual modalities, a course for the Strengthening of the Integrated System of Organizational Management was given to several officials from the municipality of La Ceja, eastern Antioquia department, an activity that was highly rated by the participants.
The Responsible Antioquia Corporation is a non-profit entity «constituted since 2008 to cooperate in the social development and organizational strengthening of public and private entities, made up of a group of professionals with diverse and complementary talents and knowledge, with trajectories and multiple experiences, transformers of ideas in projects, in actions that invite to build, to create to believe in the capacities of others».
In this way, María Cano continues to ratify the commitment to building critical societies, socially committed and with a glocal vision, as reflected in the institution’s philosophy that reaches 35 years of continuous and committed work for higher education in the country.
