- 25 julio, 2022

The María Cano University Foundation participated in the «Course in scientific, technological and intercultural skills» of the Internship of the XXV Summer of Scientific and Technological Research of the Pacific DELFÍN 2022, guiding two seminar-workshops with great reception by the participants, in such a way which required one of them to be oriented in 2 sessions.
The first Workshop Seminar called «Learning to observe» was held on June 24 and was guided by María Cano’s pedagogical advisor, Beatriz Eugenia Arias Vanegas, and was attended by 52 young people from Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The attendees recognized the importance of observation as a fundamental skill for researchers and for life itself, and appreciated the tools that the seminar provided.
Likewise, the workshop «Strategies for the promotion of health in researchers: A reflective look at research work» was developed with the objective of: Facilitating strategies that allow researchers to recognize attitudes, behaviors and actions that participants have to face the phenomena derived from the investigative work. The work was guided by Angélica Patricia Peña and the support of Elizabeth Roldán González, teachers from the Popayán campus. An activity of great interest for the 72 participants, among whom were young researchers from Mexico and Colombia , allowing reflection around mental health as a central part of the well-being of researchers and leaving great challenges for the application of strategies in daily life and in academic communities.
