Student mobility at María Cano

During the second semester of 2022, María Cano, at the Medellín campus, receives the visit of nine international exchange students from the countries of Bolivia, Mexico and Peru, and at the national level from the cities of Bogotá and Pamplona; who have the project of living an academic experience that contributes to their training as professionals with a glocal projection, taking into account the recognition of María Cano in different environments and the work she carries out in the search for collective well-being, through an important commitment for social welfare.
The visitors are: Elia María Dorado Yorimo, from the Private Technological University of Santa Cruz; Karla Dennis Calderón Gutiérrez and Yohana Magdalena Jiménez Flores, from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos; Tania Erika Jocope Guayanay, Daniel Isaías Bonifacio Reyes and Anthony Fernando Romero Fretel, from the María Auxiliadora University; Sara Herrera Díaz and Laura Valentina Rojas Díaz from the Colombian School of Rehabilitation; and Emmanuel Tehrán Bustamante from the University of Pamplona.
The students were received in a meeting in which the institutional authorities participated, enjoying a pleasant space where the commitment of María Cano and the newcomers to strengthening internationalization was evidenced. Participating in the welcome activity were: Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, Vice-Rector for Extension and Social Projection; Amilbia Palacios Córdoba, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Juanita Sánchez Romero, Director of Physiotherapy; Belkis Lorena Torres Osorio, Director of Speech Therapy; Davidson Caro Cadavid, Head of Institutional Welfare; Tatiana Isabel Fontalvo Grueso, Head of International Relations and Nadya María Sierra Noreña, Coordinator of Human Development.
In this way, María Cano promotes student academic mobility, fulfilling the objectives set in terms of Internationalization of Higher Education in the institution.
