The community practice of the Physiotherapy Program of the María Cano University Foundation at the Popayán headquarters works with the Municipal Mayor’s Office of that city to carry out health promotion and maintenance activities in search of the well-being and recreation of the grandfathers and grandmothers of the capital of Cauca, within the framework of the week of the elderly. With playful, recreational, cultural and accompanying activities, the university community cares for those who are in the autumn of life and expresses to them the importance they should always have for society, recognizing the contributions they have made throughout the different moments. of its existence.

The María Cano University Foundation has worked on different occasions with the Popayán mayor’s office to care for the inhabitants of the capital of the department of Cauca; On this occasion, the Institution joins the celebration of the week of the elderly with the participation in a special program that allows exalting the work of these people in local, regional and national society. The municipal administration works in alliance with the most recognized institutions in the city to guarantee the care, protection and well-being of the elderly through the program for the elderly, which leads actions to improve the quality of life of its beneficiaries.
