The María Cano University Foundation participated in the I Meeting of Huila Knowledge Networks, which is one of the strategies of Knowledge Managers in the search to create and socialize scientific networks; Knowledge networks are a form of association between institutions that generate Science, Technology and Innovation, which allows joining efforts and sharing capacities in scientific and technological infrastructure. The event was held in two days; The first was a general assembly in which the different research groups of the higher education institutions belonging to the strategy participated, where María Cano was present with her research groups. In the activity, a symbolic delivery of resources was made to strengthen work in science, technology and innovation to higher education institutions in the department of Huila, these resources are those that knowledge managers have invested in research processes.

Professor Piedad Rocío Lerma Castaño received recognition for the research leaders of the HEIs of Huila and to close the day, the participants received a conference by Dr. Edgar Samid Limón Villegas who spoke about the importance of research from his experience. On the second day, the leaders of the productive sectors explained, from their sector, what are the problems and needs present in the region; With this, it is sought that the participants, from their role as researchers, make known the research projects that can solve these problems.
