In the city of Cali, the first interuniversity and city congress on sports, recreation, physical education, physical activity, as a means of social transformation, EduDeportiva 2022, is held. The universities with the greatest impact participate in this congress with their achievements and activities professionals with the presence of the Department of Recreation and Sports, work that goes hand in hand with the Government of Valle del Cauca, aiming at community social development.

The María Cano University Foundation is present in the academic activity contributing to the logistics that take place between October 12 and 15, four days in which spaces are generated for presentations and the presentation of research carried out in the Institution from the groups and seedbeds , where the work of students and teachers is fundamental. María Cano is also present with panelists who are in charge of holding talks, building a sports society through questions oriented towards the achievements of the community.
