National and International Meeting of Training Practices

The Mariana de Pasto University is the host, between October 26 and 28, of the XVI NATIONAL AND IV INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF TRAINING PRACTICES, 4th INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION – PRACTICES OF THE FUTURE with the aim of recognizing the technological, social and economic transformation from the training practices for the future, in different thematic tables from the areas of health, pedagogy, research and social in the national and international context; that allow expanding the panorama of practices thanks to the use and impact of new technologies offered by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, generating environments for socialization, discussion, and reflection. María Cano is present with the active participation of the Director of the Practice Center, Sonia Magdalena Welsh Paz; and the practice coordinators of the Medellín Physiotherapy programs, Rosa Pérez García; Neiva, Yasmín Andrea Rodríguez Laiseca; Cali, Leydin Carolina Vásquez Henao; Popayán, Yuli Esmeralda Gutiérrez Muñoz; Medellín Psychology, Luz Stella Martínez; and Medellin Speech Therapy, Diana Marcela Mosquera Acosta.
Since 2006, the National Meetings of University Practices have been held, which have become spaces for socialization and reflection between academics, businessmen and society in general. Each of the previous versions has brought significant contributions, because they have favored the approach of topics such as business practice and the insertion of graduates in the labor market, the impact and regulations for practices in national university education, among others.
The experience gained has allowed learning modes and styles of practices that comply with the regulations issued by the Ministry of Education favors the achievement of skills and therefore the consolidation of the National Network of Practices. On this occasion, this academic space has been proposed, in which the central theme from The Fourth Industrial Revolution will be addressed, a term that has been coined since 2016 by the founder of the World Economic Forum, referring to it as production with avant-garde techniques in intelligent systems that are integrated with organizations and people, fostering transformation in any field because it improves productivity, efficiency and quality in processes, safety for workers by reducing jobs in dangerous environments, decision-making by having technological tools that allow them to be based on data, competitiveness by developing personalized products that meet the needs of consumers, as well as caring for the environment through the circular economy, among others.
