In his capacity as President of the Colombian Association of Higher Education Institutions – ACIET, the rector Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, accompanied by Dr. Lorenzo Portocarrero Sierra, Executive Director, and the rectors members of the Board of Directors 2021 – 2023, met in the city of Bogotá with the Minister of Education of Colombia, Alejandro Gaviria Uribe. The meeting took place at the ministry facilities and was focused on a rapprochement between the association and the high official of the national government, to analyze issues such as educational coverage, teamwork to allow and favor the population’s access to academic training with quality, as well as the commitment of the institutions with the development plan of the country and, of course, the harmony in the relations that will be present at all times.

The great empathy of the Minister of Education and the rectors stands out, which projects a pleasant and collaborative work for the coming years. It is important to highlight that the Board of Directors of ACIET is made up of the María Cano University Foundation, the Professional Drawing Academy Foundation, the Antonio José de Sucre University Corporation, the Bogotá Technology Corporation, the Comfacauca University Corporation, the Antioquia Technological University Institution , the National Unified Corporation of Higher Education, the Colombo International University Foundation, the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, the Antonio José Camacho University Institution, the Research and Development University, the ITM University Institution, the Pascual Bravo University Institution, the Corporation for Studies Tecnológicos del Norte del Valle, the Polytechnic Corporation of the Atlantic Coast, the Cooperative University of Colombia, the Autonomous Technological Foundation of Bogotá and the Technological Education Corporation of Colsubsidio.
