The María Cano University Foundation, Popayán headquarters, committed to the continuous training of its workers, in collaboration with the ARL SURA and with the accompaniment of the students of the labor practice, led the training session on basic techniques of use and management of fire extinguishers , where there was an explanation of the theoretical concepts and the realization of a practice of contact with fires. In the activity, of vital importance for the care of the university community, teachers and administrators participated, developing skills in the use of fire extinguishers and tools for emergency management.

Those invited to participate in the training met in El Recuerdo park to take part in a practical theoretical exercise, they recognized the classification of fire extinguishers, their multiple uses and how they should be correctly handled at the time of an emergency. In the same way, an exercise was generated, with the accompaniment of experts, which allowed putting into practice the theoretical concepts addressed.

With this training, the collaborators of the Popayán headquarters have the resources to act in an emergency situation that may affect the integrity of the people and property of the institution. Institutional commitment to the well-being of the community that is part of the #MásMaríaCano action.
