At the María Cano University Foundation, Popayán headquarters, the municipal Health Secretary, through the collective intervention plan, shared the results obtained after the implementation of the primary health care strategy in prioritized neighborhoods of commune 6 of the capital of Cauca. This initiative called «Healthy Popayán» is based on social and community participation that, together with sectoral and intersectoral coordination and primary and complementary health services, develop strategies that favor the health of citizens at different levels of the life course. .

In this space, the María Cano University Foundation, as a higher education institution, participated in the work tables in which the actions of the white city of Colombia are projected, as a Healthy Popayán towards different sectors of the municipality in 2023; among which are included strengthening research processes, promoting physical activity and implementing healthy environments from home and educational institutions.

Once again, the institutional commitment to the health of people in the southwestern part of Colombia is evident. #MásMaríaCano
