The graduates of the María Cano University Foundation, convey to us what that professional journey has been like that has led them to forge a prosperous future with a vocation of service to the community, graduates who constantly contribute to the well-being and development of the community throughout and width of the country. This is the case of Camila Romero, a 2019 graduate who recounts what that great journey of perseverance and achievements has been like after passing through the Institution.
«I am Camila Romero, a graduate of the María Cano University Foundation, where I managed to fulfill my dream of being a professional, enriched by this knowledge, I begin a long journey of experience in neurodevelopment and neurorehabilitation, strengthening my skills, developing a broader knowledge in the neonatal area , managing to carry out studies, to guarantee the information that I provide as a lactation consultant, remaining motivated to continue building the path of neurodevelopment.I work as a professional physiotherapist in obstetrics pelvic floor, where I seek to carry out training in pregnant women and preparation of the birth plan I accompany my knowledge with a great professional Leidy Bravo, occupational therapist where we projected a clinic.
At the beginning of 2022, from the occupational therapy and physiotherapy areas, we made the project tangible, calling it Therapeutic Bubbles, creating an independent company, in the city of Palmira, starting with 5 babies through word of mouth. We currently have 150 children between 0 and 18 months of age, where early stimulation, sensory stimulation and aquatic stimulation services are offered. They also offer advice on breastfeeding, training for pregnant women and a school skills program. The services we offer are done through games, exercises, techniques, activities and other resources that stimulate the functions of the infant’s brain and its benefits are physical, emotional, intellectual. Achievements that we have reached, associating with professionals such as neuropsychological psychologists and pediatricians who encourage, promote neurodevelopment. Currently, our company is competing in the Emprende Fund to allow us to finish projecting our company, as a great IPS, where we provide health promotion services, managing to continue educating more families about the importance of early stimulation and its relationship with neurological development. and learning.
