In a national activity, which brought together the Medellín, Cali, Neiva, Popayán campuses and the Mariacanovirtual campus, the rector Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, accompanied by the vice rectors Jorge Albeiro Herrera Builes and Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, as well as the director of Planning and Quality, María Leidy Jiménez Sánchez, presented to the community the balance of the work carried out by the Institution in the last year, which is more than satisfactory thanks to the work of the entire team that leads the different institutional subsystems. In coherence with the transparency that has characterized the actions of María Cano, the new day of accountability was held at the national level, with a first part in national connection with the Cali, Neiva and Popayán headquarters.

In the first half of the 2017-2026 Development Plan «Building the Future» María Cano has achieved a compliance rate of 87.7% and in the last term of 2022, amid great challenges and challenges, the compliance rate in the Action Plan Comprehensive was 88.63%, a management that was framed in quality assurance with achievements that stand out in the accreditation of academic programs and the multi-campus institutional accreditation project.

It is important to mention that the results of the management of the year 2022, are articulated to the fulfillment of the identity of the María Cano University Foundation, for this reason great advances can be observed and evidenced and the fulfillment of the goals in issues related to institutional social projection and the relationship with the community; internationalization taking into account the true needs of the university community; quality, work for high quality accreditation, certifications granted by Icontec; the accompaniment of the university community through the «I love you in the U» program, the institutional pedagogical foundation; innovation and entrepreneurship; as well as relevant research to benefit the community.
In the second part of the accountability session, the Medellín, Cali, Neiva and Popayán offices had specific independent activities, in which the progress and goals in each of the areas in which María Cano is present were presented.
