The Physiotherapy program in the capital of Huila, received the students and professors of the University of Cauca in an important academic activity, called: «Role of the physiotherapist in the pulmonary cardiovascular domain». The event, held at Club Los Andaquies, had an academic component where topics such as: Early mobility in pediatric patients, a theme developed by physiotherapist Darío Ordoñez Patiño; Analysis of cardiovascular adaptations to exercise, by the doctor, physiologist and professor Wilder Aldemar Mosquera Pérez, attached to the Popayán campus; and Current volume «a wolf in sheep’s clothing», by the physiotherapist Luis Alex Peña López. In addition, the teacher and physiotherapist María Carolina Cerón Polanco, led the intervention on: Metabolic response to trauma, which managed to strengthen concepts of the cardiopulmonary area and respond to the current demands of professionals in this area in the country.

The activity included the intervention of representative dance and music groups, a gastronomic display and interaction between students and teachers, which generated an intercultural relationship for the development of other academic, research and extension actions, where it is facilitated. the exchange of knowledge and the implementation of actions that strengthen internationalization, promoting knowledge and culture among the different programs at the national level.

This mobility included the partition of 28 students and 3 professors from the Physiotherapy program of the University of Cauca, in addition to 67 students and 7 professors from the Physiotherapy program of the María Cano University Foundation, Neiva headquarters.
