The María Cano University Foundation, Neiva headquarters, as an active member of the Network of Universities of Huila, was invited to the Regional Meeting of Significant Experiences of Social Projection, with special emphasis on social projection projects in early childhood, where they were presented through of seed students and professors of the physiotherapy program, two community intervention projects called: «Learning through play» sports training schools program coordinated by the teacher Viviana Caicedo Delgado and the project: «Physical activity program and inclusive sport in disability» , coordinated by Professor Sergio Alejandro Quijano Duarte, projects that generate an impact on this type of population, not only locally, but also regionally and nationally.

Within the framework of this event, the María Cano University Foundation was awarded, through the headquarters coordinator, Diana María Salazar Rojas, a recognition for the contribution to university social responsibility and the efforts from academia, research and social projection in the accompaniment of various communities in the region. The activity was carried out on the campus of the Surcolombiana University and included the participation of other Higher Education institutions in the region.

In this way, once again, María Cano makes visible her social actions from teaching, research and extension.
