Renewal of qualified registration for the Psychology program
- 20 junio, 2023

The María Cano University Foundation always thinks of bringing higher education to different regions of Colombia, so that the entire community can access high-quality academic programs that improve well-being levels. This is how the Institution presents the renewal of the unique qualified registration of the Psychology program with face-to-face methodology in the city of Medellín and virtual for the entire country and even from abroad. The differential factor of this new proposal is an academic proposal that is articulated to the permanent transformation of the discipline, to an analysis of the local, national and international offer and to the observation of the mental health needs currently evidenced in the country and in the world. whole world.
It is a program that supports the curricular transformation of its study plan in the institutional purpose of training professionals who recognize themselves as autonomous beings, with the ability to make decisions, to direct their training and learning process and to build their life project; therefore, they inquire, question, seek information, generate spaces for conversation, recognize their own abilities and put them at the service of others. Psychologists are people with critical thinking, social commitment and glocal vision. The Psychology program of the María Cano University Foundation is also distinguished by its social responsibility, reflected in the professional quality of its graduates and the contribution it makes to the quality of life of the community.
One of the main changes of this new program is the step from eight to ten semesters, which will allow for a significant emphasis on health psychology, strengthening a differentiating role in society, which allows us to be increasingly related to the Faculty of Health Sciences that houses it in the María Cano; while facilitating interdisciplinarity and articulation with students, teachers and researchers from the Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy programs and the new Nutrition and Dietetics program that will be officially presented in the coming days.
