Giving continuity to the extension processes and the institutional commitment to bringing the training project to the environment; The Popayán headquarters of the María Cano University Foundation, through students and practice advisors from the Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy programs, developed the third version of the Colombian Southwest Symposium; The thematic axis focused on the comprehensive development of early childhood, always recognizing the importance of caring for minors to advance the construction of a country in which priority attention is given to those who will be the future protagonists of the country.

On this occasion, professionals from Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Nutrition, Psychology, Occupational Health and Pedagogy provided basic guidelines for stimulation, education, nutrition and parenting that contribute to the care and comprehensive health of children from the early stages. The topics addressed make it possible to explore those tools that, through care, children receive from their parents, caregivers, teachers and health professionals, finding here; a real opportunity to grow together.

At the María Cano University Foundation, the commitment to education and updating knowledge, in accordance with the true needs of the community in the department of Cauca is one more way to demonstrate the constant concern with the well-being of all citizens.
