The María Cano University Foundation based in Cali, in collaboration with the REUNE Entrepreneurship Network and higher education institutions and the support of the Government of Valle del Cauca, participated in the organization of the XI International University Entrepreneurship Symposium. The event took place at the Coomeva Foundation Building and was highlighted by the presence of international speakers and an enriching discussion forum with local businessmen. In this impressive academic activity, which brought together students, university graduates, entrepreneurs and businessmen; They had the opportunity to acquire knowledge, inspiration and practical tools for the development and growth of successful ventures, thus contributing to the strengthening of the business fabric and the promotion of the local economy.
The symposium brought together inspiring experiences, and was highlighted by the participation of two internationally recognized speakers, Dr. Teresa Sánchez, an education expert and vice-rector of the Carchi State Polytechnic University – Educator, who shared her valuable experiences in the educational field. Also present was doctor and writer Carlos Coca, from the Autonomous University of Honduras, who offered unique perspectives on the business world. Both experts provided attendees with an enriching vision and success stories in innovation and entrepreneurship.
In addition, the event included a discussion forum in which local entrepreneurs from various economic sectors, such as food, plastics and cardboard, shared their experiences, success stories and challenges faced in their respective ventures. This interaction provided attendees with a realistic and valuable vision of the business world in the region.
The participation of María Cano students from the Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy programs stood out for their logistical support and attendance at different activities that generated knowledge and experiences about innovation and entrepreneurship as a lifestyle to contribute to growth and development. of the country, where the work led by Professor Jorge Eliecer Manrique Julio was evident, who highlighted the importance of promoting entrepreneurial culture in the academic and business community.
