Meeting with FAO Colombia

Directors of the María Cano University Foundation met, virtually, with Daniel Veloza Manzanares from FAO Colombia, to evaluate the possibility of carrying out joint work in practices, research, social extension projects and continuous training between both institutions; initially with the Nutrition and Dietetics program of the Popayán schools and work will be done on the formulation of a framework agreement FAO – María Cano University Foundation for the development of these processes in all campuses and all undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The Institution was represented by Angélica María Zuluaga Calle, coordinator of the headquarters in the capital of Cauca; Sonia Magdalena Welsh Paz, director of the Internship Center and Gildardo de Jesús Uribe Gil, coordinator of the nutrition program at the Medellín headquarters.

For its part, the María Cano Nutrition and Dietetics program is present at the Medellín and Popayán headquarters, with the aim of training upright and comprehensive professionals, ethical, leaders, autonomous, with critical thinking, social commitment and a glocal vision, expressed in the ability to improve food and nutritional problems in the region, the country and the world, based on evidence, innovation and entrepreneurship; with high standards of technical and human quality.
