In a joint initiative between the Neiva headquarters and the Continuing Training Center, a successful Academic Mission in Innovation was carried out from September 17 to 20. A group of 33 students and teachers moved to Medellín to immerse themselves in the region’s vibrant innovation ecosystem. Through visits to universities, companies, as well as practical workshops, participants developed entrepreneurial skills and learned about the latest trends in innovation.

During their stay, participants had the opportunity to:

• Explore the innovative ecosystem of Medellín: Visiting the main headquarters of the María Cano University, the Expansion project, the IPS and its running laboratory, as well as prominent institutions such as the Ces University, the Sena innovation HUB and Institución Débora Arango Technology.
• Develop your creativity: Participating in practical Lego Serious Play workshops, an innovative tool to encourage creativity and critical thinking. Workshop led by the innovation and entrepreneurship area of ​​María Cano.
• Connect with the academic community: Interacting with students and teachers from other universities, generating collaboration networks and promoting the exchange of ideas.

This academic mission had the main objective of raising students’ awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation, and showing them the multiple opportunities offered by the innovative ecosystem of Antioquia.
